HotelSmarters launches the first Guest WiFi MVP, integrated with MikroTik infrastructure.
What It Does
- Hotel-branded access — guests connect through a WiFi portal branded to the hotel's identity, rather than a generic network login screen.
- Guest authentication — guests authenticate with their stay details (room number and last name), validated against the hotel's check-in records, so only checked-in guests get access.
- Captive portal — guests are redirected to the branded captive portal when they connect, complete authentication there, and get full internet access once login succeeds. Hotels can also display a custom welcome message or promo on the portal after login.
- Router preconfiguration — each hotel receives a MikroTik router that's preconfigured and plug-and-play ready, so WiFi setup doesn't require on-site IT staff.
- Connected-device management — guests and admins get visibility into and control over the devices connected under a guest's WiFi account.
- Speed control with upsell — guests can select or upgrade their connection speed tier, with an option to pay for faster access.
