HotelSmarters Version 2: Hospitality Guest-Experience Platform

HotelSmarters Version 2: Hospitality Guest-Experience Platform
3 min read

What's New

HotelSmarters launches Version 2, expanding the platform beyond Interactive TV and Guest Room Management into a complete hospitality guest-experience platform.

What It Does

  • Guest personalization - guests choose their preferred language once, and it carries across TV, tablet, and mobile so the entire app appears in that language throughout their stay.
  • Personalized welcome experience - on arrival, guests see a welcome screen with their name, room number, stay duration, and hotel details, along with the Wi-Fi network name and password, so everything they need is visible right away.
  • Hotel branding and admin configuration - admins upload their hotel's logo and media assets, customize the welcome and menu screens, set color palettes and themes, preview changes live on TV and tablet before publishing, configure Wi-Fi SSID and password, choose content sources for Live TV and VOD, and enable, disable, or reorder menu items.
  • Music and radio - admins add and organize music tracks and internet radio streams by genre, and guests browse and play them by genre through the TV or tablet.
  • Info center - admins create and categorize informational entries (hotel services, nearby attractions, safety guidelines, and similar topics), and guests browse categories and open detailed info pages at any time without contacting the front desk.
  • IPTV live channels - admins add, tag, and manage live TV channels by country and language, and guests browse, watch, favorite, and filter channels by country or language.
  • Video on demand - admins add movies and series with metadata pulled from TMDB and organize series by season and episode, and guests search, view details, and play content directly.
  • Guest Wi-Fi - guests connect through a branded captive portal by entering their room number and last name, validated against check-in records, and get full internet access on success; admins can display a custom welcome or promo message on the portal.
  • Digital signage foundation - hotel IT staff install the signage app on supported hardware, pair it to the dashboard with an activation code, and admins assign screens, add image/video/HTML media, and reassign screens to devices as needed.

Why It Matters

Guests get a single, personalized experience across TV, tablet, and mobile - from the moment they arrive to browsing entertainment, hotel info, and Wi-Fi access - without needing separate apps or calls to the front desk.

Hotels get a single admin panel to brand the experience, manage content across music, IPTV, and VOD, and start controlling public-area screens.

This turns HotelSmarters from a single-purpose TV product into the operational backbone of the guest journey.
