HotelSmarters launches with an Interactive TV solution for hotel rooms, integrated with a Guest Room Management System in partnership with AT Automation and Boughter Control.
What It Does
The in-room TV becomes a digital guest-experience hub with the following functionality:
- Live TV, music & radio - guests browse and watch live television channels, and browse and play music tracks and radio stations, directly on the in-room TV.
- Hotel information access - guests view hotel details, amenities, and facility guides through an "About Hotel" section on the TV.
- Room control - through the Guest Room Management System integration, guests control in-room systems such as lighting, climate, curtains, and Do Not Disturb directly from the TV, rather than contacting hotel staff for basic requests.
- Alarm - guests set wake-up alarms directly on the in-room TV, without needing a personal device.
- Notifications - guests receive on-screen updates and status information.
- Single-screen navigation - all of the above is accessible from one interface, so guests don't need a separate app or device to interact with the room or the hotel.
Why It Matters
Guests get a single, familiar screen for entertainment, hotel information, and room control - no extra app, no calling the front desk for basic requests. Hotels get a foundation that turns an idle TV into an active part of the guest experience.
